Grade 3 Resource Books are supplied for both children and adults providing a year's worth of material and enrichment problems and clear explanations of each solution.
Videos are available to registered customers and provide additional support for using the program and all of its components.
Dominoes are used at each grade level to generate whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to be used in numerous problems.
Hundreds Chart is used in grades 1, 2, and 3 to foster number sense. Basic calculations can become simple with the combination of mental math skills and the use of the hundreds chart.
Attribute Blocks are manipulatives with certain characteristics used in sorting activities.
- Shape – triangle, circle, rectangle, square, and hexagon
- Size – small or big
- Color – yellow, blue , and red
- Thickness – thick or thin
Sorting Circles are expandable circles that can overlap to form a Venn Diagram and are used in sorting activities.
Base-10 Blocks are used to develop an understanding of place value. They are used in addition and subtraction problems in grades 1, 2, and 3.
Pattern Blocks are geometric shapes used to develop patterns. They are also used to formulate bigger shapes out of smaller shapes (three triangles make a trapezoid etc.).
Ruler is used to demonstrate linear measure, to find fractional parts of inches, and to estimate and calculate lengths.
Dice are used in generating numbers for calculations, fractions, and ratios. A 6-sided cube with numbers instead of dots is used to help the younger child in generating numbers.
